HistorySince 1988, within the Nantes University Medical Centre, Professor Moisan's team has been the first French team to identify individuals based on DNA.. In 2003, due to the opportunities offered by the Innovation Law [loi Allègre], with the approval of the University Medical Centre and the University of Nantes, Mr. Moisan together with twenty other people in his medical staff founded IGNA. In July 2008, IGNA merged with the CARSO Group, which became the majority shareholder of our Institution. Three of the founding experts still own 25% of the shares. In parallel, CARSO owned 100% of the Codgene share capital. On the 1st January 2010 the two companies Codgene and IGNA, merged and thus the most important French group in the field of genetic testing was born. We have three sites: Nantes, Strasbourg and Marseille. This regrouping has allowed us to combine well-known industrial and scientific know-how. This know-how is the guarantee of the quality procedure based on ongoing improvement and enhanced capacity regarding genetic fingerprints examinations. |
