Transportation Organisation

Our aim is to offer you as many services as possible and therefore we take over the administrative tasks concerning the delivery of your samples. We organise the delivery of samples to our laboratories. The type of samples is a determining factor in the choice of the haulier.

Within the Paris area, an officer in charge of the logistics operation, a former policeman, may come and check the samples. He or she will take care of all the procedures necessary for the transportation of the samples to one of our laboratories.

Irrespective of the type of samples, transportation may be organised within the entire metropolitan area and the Overseas Departments and Territories

You will be asked to provide the following information :
- Contact details of the collection point.
- Business hours.
- Name of the contact person.
- Type of sample.
- IGNA reference (if known).
- The parcels must be packed (except for the samples requiring controlled temperature) and the names of the sender and the recipient must be written on the package.

Transportation of samples at room temperature.
  • Calls received at IGNA before noon :
    The haulier picks up the parcel in the afternoon.
    The samples arrive at our laboratory the next day.

  • Calls received at IGNA in the afternoon
    The haulier picks up the parcel the next day in the afternoon.
    The samples arrive at our laboratory in 2 days.
Transportation of samples at controlled temperature :
- Calls received at IGNA before 5:00 p.m.
- The sample is picked up at your location the next day according to the schedule agreed upon together.
- The service provider will bring the temperature-controlled container.
- The samples arrive at our laboratory in 2 days
- You will be requested to provide additional information:

Transportation of urgent samples in the case of police custody and emergencies :
- Calls received at IGNA at any time
- We will send you the pre-completed dispatch note by fax
- We will indicate the nearest airport and a timetable of the following flights.
- You must arrive at the airport (cargo terminal area) 1.5 hours before take-off.
- The person who goes to the airport must bring proof of identity.
- Once the AWB (Air Way Bill) no. has been communicated to you, it must be immediately sent to us so that we can pick up the parcel on arrival.
- The sample will arrive at our laboratory the same day or the next day (if there are no departing aeroplanes).
