Expertises médico-légales - Tests de paternité

OUR ACTIVITIES

OUR SERVICES AND COMMITMENTS

Paternity tests

According to French law, paternity tests must be conducted upon the order of a public prosecutor.

For civil cases, IGNA conducts paternity tests for filiation research.

For this service we also offer a global approach for the logistic section of the test. An administration officer will be at your service to ensure that the participants are called and that DNA samples are collected (saliva samples).

Our network of partners is spread throughout the country, and this enables us to find a sampling site closest to the homes of subjects having samples taken.

For participants who are unable to go to one of our two sites, a network of "partner laboratories" is available in the metropolitan area and the French Overseas Departments and Territories. Their task is to take samples from the subjects concerned after checking their identity and to send us the samples and related documents (a copy of proof of identity, a recent photo, the signed consent on sampling).

These laboratories are provided with sampling kits (FTA® card used for FNAEG [French National Fingerprint Database]) and prepaid envelopes, and specific instructions are provided regarding the sampling rules to be observed.

We manage all administrative issues (contacting the subjects, etc.), transportation of the kits and, if necessary, we send again for the subjects who have not yet come.

The industrial process of the analysis developed by us complies with international standards; these tests are accredited in compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and NF EN IOS/SEI 17025 standards for the site in Nantes. This is a guarantee of the quality and time frames of the results.
